Florida is dirty and full of senior citizens. It’s more of a va-K spot than a place to live. You would get sick of the beach and it’s always one season you never get to see the leaves change or the snow fall.

Florida is a breath taking place but, that’s the only good thing. F.Y.I be careful around spring break FL gets CRAZY! Drunk drivers all over. Partying drug dealing stealing you name it. It’s not the best place to live.

Nice weather. You don`t freeze to death if you do loose your power in a storm. No driving on ice. Lawn dosn`t grow during the winter. I have lived here since 1984 and have no plans on moving.
Any questions email me. Have a good day.

I have been in Florida longer than most people who claim to be natives, 64 years. I can complain about Florida all day long because it’s not as it was when I grew up. What place is?

Clermont, 20 miles West of Orlando is really growing at a fantastic pace. That could be good with the depressing housing market. Home prices will continue to drop as long as fuel prices go up.

Clermont is home to a world class triathalon training facility. Now this would be a place to work. I used to run and I wish I had had a trainer. Maybe my knees wouldn’t have gone out.

Taxes are on the increase in Florida but the legislature is working on that right now. Clermont, in the rolling hills of Lake county, has a better tax rate on property than Orlando. We do not have state income tax, yet. Home insurance rates are artificially high at the moment, again the legislature is working on that also. Clermont has a good track record as far as storms go. There was some flooding, downtown, during the storms of 2004.

This would be a good area to look at prior to purchasing property. It’s close proximity to Orlando is a plus.
